Blah.. Blah.. BLOG!

Principles of Public Relations has been a class that I have greatly enjoyed taking this semester. I have learned many things that I have never learned before that will definitely come into play in the future. I am still undecided on my major, but this class made me realize that I would enjoy working with Public Relations one day. I really enjoyed Public Relations because every week you are required to blog. Blogging is like your modern day journals. You can write all of your perspectives and thoughts on topics that are intriguing to you.

The specific class that I am in requires you to write weekly posts, public relations examples, and to comment on your classmates posts. At the beginning of the semester, I really dreaded having to do this every week, but I was totally wrong. I found myself really interested in writing these and always wrote more that I was required to. If you are a person who loves to tell a story and can ramble on about anything, then this class would be a perfect fit for you.

If you are new to the blogging world, here are some tips that you should take into consideration while putting together your blogs:

1. Don’t stress about it!  When you are writing your blogs, don’t think too hard about it.  What you are writing should come naturally to you.
2. Ask questions.  If you are ever confused on your blogs or the topic that you are blogging about, ask your professor.  It’s important to make sure that you are doing your work right and not just guessing on it.
3. Keep an open mind.  Don’t feel like you are limited to blog about certain topics.  Explore new topics and write your opinion about them.  It is a lot of fun!
